Decision

The public homepage is an institutional gateway, not a complete rendering of Anabasis. It retains the mission, five canonical pathways, six connected lines of work, one operating model, concise institutional-programme context, the six canonical capabilities, deliberate entrances, and the Charge. Full doctrine, instructional architecture, research, ecosystem records, and programme depth remain on their purpose-built routes.

This supersedes only Decision 0011's homepage-placement consequence that the expanded Pillars, ladder, prologue, and six capability essays remain on /. It does not alter the Five Pillars, Seven Schools, capability ladder, single test, or the Six Capabilities doctrine.

Why

The former 24-section opening duplicated destination pages, exceeded the cognitive budget for orientation, and obscured the five public pathways. Reducing repetition makes the first decision clearer without deleting institutional depth.

Institutional Critic

  1. 1Scale: a static gateway scales; duplicated editorial architectures drift first, so shared canonical imports remain mandatory.
  2. 2Assumptions: reduced length improves orientation; post-launch evidence must test pathway selection without attention-capture metrics.
  3. 3Simpler solution: remove duplication on / while preserving all routes and shared chrome.
  4. 4Duplication: no new system or surface; SURF-01 is refined in place.
  5. 5Enterprise view: scope and institutional-programme language remain visible, prospective, and measurable without invented outcomes.
  6. 6First-time user: identity and mission lead directly to five responsibility-based pathways.
  7. 7Legal, operational, security: no data, permissions, transaction, ownership, or solicitation change; the investment disclaimer remains.
  8. 8Debt: no implementation debt is accepted. Editorial outcome measurement remains governed by existing analytics and evidence doctrine.
  9. 9Consistency: the change advances Codex 1 capability, Codex 6 confidence, and STD-Q regression discipline.

Codex 8 evaluation

  • Revenue potential: indirect improvement through clearer selection of existing paid pathways.
  • Implementation cost: low, presentation and governance records only.
  • Maintenance cost: lower because duplicated homepage explanations are removed.
  • Operational complexity: unchanged.
  • Customer value: faster orientation and clearer next actions.
  • Enterprise value: institutional programmes remain explicit without unsupported claims.
  • Long-term strategic value: a stable gateway can endure while deeper systems evolve.

Result and review

Review date: 2027-03-18. Record whether visitors select pathways with less abandonment or correction, whether destination ambiguity is reported, and whether any required institutional context was made harder to find. Record the result whether or not it supports this decision.
